Income at Home - Why Most People Never Make Income Online - 1 of These Mistakes & You Won't Either

To be able to generate income at home is a very attractive alternative to a regular 9 to 5 job and with this economic crisis that we're facing, more and more people are trying to make money online. However, most of the new comers will never realize even a single profit online. The reason is simple; they make terrible mistakes when they start. I will show you some of the usual mistakes beginners make and how you can avoid them.

First the facts: Thousands of people are actually generating tons of income at home, including me. That said; the reality is that most of the newbie's never get to make money on the internet. There are many common mistakes that almost all beginners make and that most of the time will lead to an online failure. I make many of them, and my journey was painful and very expensive.

I'll give you a briefly overview of some of this mistakes and hopefully you don't make them.

Income at Home - Why Most People Never Make Income Online - 1 of These Mistakes & You Won't Either

Go for income at home systems or programs that don't work: You will be tempted bi some offers to try to make money on the internet filling surveys online, or filling questionnaires. You should never try this. These kinds of programs only make money to the guys who promote them.

Other types of programs that you should stay away are those programs that let you build a website on their domains to generate leads or customers for them. Many of these programs fall in the category of MLM or Multi-Level Marketing. If you are offered these kinds of programs run fast.

Shop to earn programs is another common scam you should avoid: These are income at home programs where you generate income through your shopping and through your friends shopping's. They claim there's not sales involve, but you usually have to come up with about 0 to get started. My friend thrust me on this; if you ever read the words 'shop to earn' in a website, close your browser, and if possible delete your cookies.

Never pick a system that involves CPA, PPC or PPV: CPA is when you get paid to generate leads for a vendor. A lot of money could be made with CPA but is not suited for beginners. PPC and PPV refer to pay per click and pay per view. These are ways to generate traffic where you pay for the click of for the view. You should stay away of programs that advise on these, at least for the first year.

Chose a great system and don't follow it persistently: many folks get lucky and stumble up on a good system or program to generate income at home but they never work hard enough on the system to make it work for them. You have to be persistent and work hard until you start seeing some profits, thrust me, it is worth it.

Generate income at home Infomercials: Be an adult; 99% of infomercials about how to make money online don't work. Use your TV to watch something of more value

Get overload with information: Many beginners allow themselves to get overwhelmed with information. When you star your income at home journey you will continuously and insistently be bombard with many different offers to make income at home, and you will read their sales letter and probably think on give a try to that program too.

This is the most common receipt for failure. Concentrate only on one system and don't pay attention to the hundreds e-mails that you are going to receive about the latest system to make massive amount of money online. This is the only way to succeed on the internet.

My Traffic Ticket Secret - If a Cop Doesn't Show Up to Court, You Don't Pay

Getting a traffic violation can be huge downer, especially if you think you haven't done anything wrong. Going to court to fight it can be intimidating, so many don't even try it. Well, have you ever wondered what happens if a cop doesn't show up to court for your ticket hearing?

You don't have to pay!

Traffic courts don't have the time or personnel to really try every case that is contested. Judges typically do a roll call at the beginning of the day and if a cop doesn't show up, that case is dismissed! You don't even have to defend your case!!

My Traffic Ticket Secret - If a Cop Doesn't Show Up to Court, You Don't Pay

Did you know that 25 to 40% of the time, officers fail to show up? With those odds, why wouldn't you at least try to fight your speeding ticket? If a cop doesn't show up to court, this is what happens:

All charges are dropped No points would be put on your license Your insurance premiums will not go up You don't have to spend money or time on traffic school

Well, what if the cop does show up? What then? What can you do?

Depending on the circumstances surrounding your ticket, there are many successful arguments and strategies that have been proven to work. One technique is requesting copies of the reporting officer's paperwork to see if there are any errors which would get your case dismissed.

Waiting to see if a cop doesn't show up to court isn't the only way to beat a ticket. Find out more at the link below!

Assessing Your Competitors' Traffic - Is It Worth It?

Assessing your competitors' traffic is like chasing rainbows: you never quite get there and wouldn't know what to do if you did. How do you compare traffic, and is it really worth doing?

A lot depends upon what you mean by the word 'traffic' and how you assess it. Every time you visit your own website you are 'traffic' unless you can measure unique visitors. Here are three ways of gathering approximations of the traffic that your competition is getting relative to yours, although 'approximate' is very much the appropriate word:

* Alexa Ranking: if you visit alexa.com you will be able to download a toolbar that provides you with what is known as an Alexa Ranking. This is a ranking of the web page you are viewing in terms of total traffic relative to other sites on the internet from Alexa users. The lower the figure the better, so you can compare your competitors' with your own Alexa statistics.

Assessing Your Competitors' Traffic - Is It Worth It?

* Compete Ranking: compete.com allow you to download the Compete equivalent to the Alexa ranking Many people prefer Compete because it uses a wider base for collecting data: in addition to toolbar users they also use data from ASPs, ISPs and opt-in panels. They also provide data on unique traffic that Alexa do not.

* Netcraft: this site provides information mainly on web servers rather than individual domains, and is useful only if you want to find information about your competitor's server. The information is sketchy for any but the biggest sites.

These toolbars are free, and useful for the amateur webmaster to use. However, if you are serious about finding information about the traffic of your competition there are a number of commercial paid sites such as Hitwise and ComScore that provide you with more comprehensive information. The choice of such services is a personal one, and quite frankly there are few, if any, that provide a comprehensive analysis of traffic that could be of much benefit to you.

Finding traffic details about your competition is all very well, but to what use can you put it? It is not the volume of traffic that matters but how much unique traffic you are getting, and what you do with it is even more important. That could depend on the type of business you have.

A B2B (business to business) website usually regards traffic in a different way to that of a B2C (business to customer) site, in that whereas a B2B website is often designed to showcase the products and services offered, much like it would use a trade show, a B2C landing page is generally more of a squeeze page, designed to maintain contact with the visitor with a view to completing a sale some time in the future.

Whereas one is designed to display technological or product competence and innovation to prospects who are perhaps already in a sales funnel, the other is designed to create and maintain interest with the traffic achieved and enter them into the funnel. It is not so much how much traffic you get to your site that is important, but what type of traffic you get and what you subsequently do with it.

OK, we all know about squeeze pages and how you must use an opt-in form to collect your visitors' email addresses. But what else? Do you use a sales funnel for instance? Every visitor to your website should enter the funnel and be qualified to different levels the farther down the funnel they travel. It is a good tool to try if you are new to the concept.

You should have specific actions to take at each level in your funnel, and also pre-arranged means of injecting life into those prospects that appear to have become stuck! You will have to lubricate the funnel now and again, perhaps with free offers or money-off coupons your visitors can use to purchase some of your higher value products at low prices. That should get them going on their way down the funnel towards the area where you offer them products with real benefits at real prices. The money-making end!

That is one simple way in which you can use your traffic to your best advantage, and where, if your competitors do not do the same, their traffic is irrelevant to their income. If you can make every visitor count by using the proper tools, then assessing your competitors' traffic might be time better spent on other things.

It is important that you keep tabs of what your competition is doing, but don't dwell too much on their traffic: think more on what you are doing with yours.

How To Care For Your VCT Floor

Are your hard floors looking dirty even after they are mopped? Is there no shine left in your floors? Maybe your floors were recently stripped and waxed, but now a few months later, you cannot even tell it. Below are some basic steps to care for your VCT floors that will provide a consistent shine.

VCT is short for vinyl composite tile. This is the type of floor that you see in most hospital hallways and many other commercial buildings. Some people just call it "tile" floors, but I find this ambiguous since ceramic tile is becoming more frequent in commercial buildings.

VCT has been around for many years. The most common size is twelve inches by twelve inches. You may also find eight by eight inch tiles in older buildings, but this will commonly be ACT (asbestos composite tile). ACT has been phased out, but if your building has it, the tips we give below will work on either type of floor.

How To Care For Your VCT Floor

The steps in care for your VCT floor are pretty straight forward. You may have heard terms such as strip and wax, buffing, polishing, and scrubbing. We will also explain each of these.

Stripping and waxing is a term that refers to removing the existing wax on your floor and applying new wax. Wax is also referred to as "finish" and these two terms are interchangeable. Stripping is a labor intensive process where low speed buffers (floor machines that run 175 rpm) are brought in and remove the wax. First, a mop is used to apply stripper, which should be allowed to sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Then, the low speed buffer is run over the floor with an abrasive pad for stripping. The result is a combination of old wax and stripper that is then vacuumed or mopped up. This process is repeated until all of the wax is removed.

In areas where there is much of wax, it will be necessary to repeat the stripping process. However, in areas where there is high foot traffic, the wax remaining is usually not heavy and easy to remove. Also, small pads or razors are used against walls or in corners to remove the wax that the buffer cannot reach.

During the strip, a second solution of floor rinse and water is used to clean the floor and prevent the old wax from drying back into the floor. If the old wax dries, then the stripping process must be redone to remove the wax again. Once the floor is stripped, the floors should be rinsed once more to remove any loose remaining wax or particulates, and ensure a clean floor to wax.

The floor must then be allowed to dry completely before any wax can be applied. Wax is applied in coats. The first coat is applied by a mop and allowed to dry. Then each additional coat is applied. Depending on the specifications and desired shine, the number of coats of wax is determined.

If a high, lustrous shine is desired, it will typically require six to eight coats. Four coats of wax will deliver a medium shine.

After the above steps are completed, your floor is now stripped and waxed. After the last coat of wax is dry, the floor is safe to walk on. It is advisable to allow the floor two to three days to completely "cure" before performing any high speed buffing.

Buffing or polishing refers to using a high speed buffer on the VCT floor to bring back a shine and make the wax harder. High speed buffing is done one of three ways: propane, battery operated, and electric. High speed buffers run between 1500 rpms and 2000 rpms depending on the manufacturer. We prefer the propane buffers out of the three we mentioned.

Scrub and recoat is a term that refers to using a light rinse on the waxed VCT floor with a low speed machine. The floor is not stripped, but just the first coat or two of wax is removed. Then, wax is applied to renew the shine of the VCT floor. A scrub and recoat is a good interim method to be used between stripping and waxing.

How often should a floor be stripped and waxed? There is no right answer to this question, because each floor is different. A good rule of thumb is to strip and wax at least once a year. Some floors may need to be stripped and waxed twice a year or more. High speed buffing should be done at least once a month. If a VCT floor has high foot traffic, it can be buffed once a week to maintain a good appearance. Scrub and recoats can be done at the half way mark between strip and waxes.

Even a brand new VCT floor should be stripped and waxed. New VCT comes from the manufacturer with a factory sealer, but usually cannot stand up to high traffic.

The most important step of any VCT floor is sweeping and mopping. VCT floors should be swept and mopped daily to prevent dirt from scratching and marring the appearance of the floor. Mopping should be done with cold water and a neutral cleaner. If hot water is used on a waxed VCT floor, it can cause the wax to come up with the mop and also gives the wax a cloudy appearance. Also, do not use harsh cleaners to mop a VCT floor. Bleach or ammonia based products will strip wax off of the VCT floor. If you cannot find or run out of neutral cleaner, just use plain cold water. Then, find a suitable neutral cleaner when you resume the maintenance the next day.

To recap the above steps:
1. Sweep and mop your VCT floors daily.
2. High speed buff your VCT floors at least once a month.
3. Strip and wax your VCT floors at least once a year.
4. Scrub and recoats may be done interim of stripping and waxing. (every 6 months)

By following the above steps, or making sure your janitorial provider does, will provide a VCT floor with a desirable shine and appearance. It will also increase the life of your VCT floors. If properly cared for, VCT floors can last for forty years or more.

Free Public Police Records?

It's official now. The US has the highest per capita incarceration rate in the world according to a very recent report from the Department of Justice. More than 2 million people were in jail at year-end 2006, an all-time high, not including those who are on probation, parole, rehabilitation or have already served out their sentence. And that's looking at hard crimes alone. What about other run-ins with the law where offenders are not put behind bars?

When it comes to completeness in checking violation of law or regulation, an excellent resource is found in Public Police Records. It is different from Criminal Records in that it is not just about crime and conviction. Anytime you have any interaction or engagement with the police, it will likely go into your police records. Although public police records are tasked differently from state to state, it generally means all reports recorded by police, including complaints and requests submitted by the public. This inherently implies that anything that is not in norm or order is deemed to be under police charter. Some prominent enforcement-related features in police records are arrest, driving violations, violence, sex offenses, gangs, drugs fraud and public disturbance. Other informative type data are also listed for example firearms permit, traffic accidents, address history, family members, lost and found, missing person, property and so forth.

Police record checks are conducted chiefly in employment screening and volunteering assessment. However, the laws governing the use of the information derived from such checks are strict and serious. Lawyers and experts are often required to determine the permissible and proper application of the police record search results in such contexts. For one thing, consent from the subject must be secured in order to initiate a search. While there is Freedom to Information Act, there are also privacy rights and discrimination protection provisions.

Free Public Police Records?

A police record report can also be used as a 'good conduct' or 'no criminal record' certification. Such a clearance document may be required abroad for further studies, child adoption, employment, residency or even sports and arts events. Local police departments are tasked with the procedure of running a crime record background check and issue the report in accordance with it. They have authority and liberty to construct the document to reflect the subject in a manner they deem fit and appropriate. After all, a favorable police record report is not worth the paper it's printed on without its official authentication.

Police records are available free of charge but they are generally scattered all over different states, if not counties. It can be quite onerous and time-consuming to assemble the findings too. That perhaps is why paid service for this purpose is generally opted. Charges are typically nominal and great value can be found if you know where to look.

How A New York Traffic Ticket (including a New York Speeding Ticket) Effects Auto Insurance Rates

This Article addresses the effect on your automobile insurance rates from being convicted of a New York traffic ticket including speeding.

As a New York Traffic Lawyer, I often am asked will a conviction to a NY traffic ticket effect my insurance rates. This question is often posed because insurance rates are one of the primarily reasons why someone would want to fight a moving violation ticket. The short answer is sometimes "yes" and sometimes "no".

Under Insurance Law Section 2335, insurance companies in New York State may raise a motorist's insurance rates for a number of reasons. The ones involving the issuance of a traffic ticket are set forth below:

How A New York Traffic Ticket (including a New York Speeding Ticket) Effects Auto Insurance Rates

Motorist is convicted of driving sixteen (16) miles per hour (or more) over the limit Motorist has been convicted of speeding and/or reckless driving on 3 or more occasions Motorist has been convicted of speeding or reckless driving where injury or death results Motorist is convicted of driving while intoxicated or impaired (alcohol or drugs) Motorist is convicted of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it Motorist is convicted or 2 or more moving violations

So what does this mean?

For a motorist with a clean record (i.e., no points, no accidents), a conviction to most "small" moving violations will NOT result in your insurance rates being raised. Examples of such offenses are disobey a red light, running a stop sign, failure to signal, speeding fifteen (15) miles per hour (or less) above the limit and improper turns. The second conviction, however, for a "small" offense can be used against you to hike your rates.

The next question commonly asked is how long will such a blemish on my driver record be held against me. The answer is 36 months from the date of conviction.

The lesson behind Section 2335 is that it does not take much for an insurance company to have a basis to raise your rates. One "big" ticket or two "small" tickets is enough. Therefore, it is generally worthwhile fighting any New York moving violation ticket to try and reduce or eliminate points.

USPS Mailbox Requirements

The United States Postal Service has specific requirements for all residential curbside mail boxes. The USPS Domestic Mail Manual sets forth regulations and rules concerning residential curbside mailboxes. The manual describes the standards for letterboxes and other mail receptacles for the deposit or receipt of mail.

Residential Mailboxes
A residential mailbox is any curbside or wall-mounted receptacle which is used for the purpose of receiving material in which postage is paid.

Who Can Use A Mailbox
Only authorized letter carriers may place mail or packages into the mail receptacle. No part of the mail receptacle may be used to deliver anything that does not contain postage. This includes items attached to the box, hung from the box or inserted into the mail box. Any mailable material not displaying postage and found in the mailbox is subject to the same amount of postage as if it were carried by a mail carrier.

USPS Mailbox Requirements

Exclusions from USPS Rules
Door slots and other non-lockable bins used with apartment mailboxes are subject to the same regulations as a curbside mailbox. Just keep in mind that a mail slot should be large enough to accommodate the type of mail the homeowner receives. If the mail slot is not large enough, then the mail carrier will cease delivering mail to the residence.

Curbside Mailboxes
All homeowners must keep the area around their mailboxes clear of anything than will obstruct the safe delivery of mail. If the United States Postal Service employee cannot safely reach in and deliver the mail, the postmaster may withdraw delivery to that mailbox.

Any curbside mailbox which is to be installed at the edge of the roadway or curbside of the street and allows it to be served by a mail carrier from a vehicle on any city route, rural route or highway must be approved by the United States Postal Service.

Every curbside mailbox should display the homeowner's name and address assigned by the local authorities on the flag side of the mailbox. The numbers and letters must be at least one inch high and in a contrasting color in neat, legible letters. If the boxes are grouped and the address cannot be placed on the flag side of the mailbox, then the house number should be inscribed on the door. No advertising of any kind can be placed on the mailbox or the mailbox post.

Mailbox Sizes
There are regulations regarding curbside mailboxes. A curbside mailbox can be one of three size for residential mail: small T1 (C1) size is approximately 5 inches wide by 6 inches tall and 18 ½ inches long, Medium T2 (C2) size is approximately 6 inches wide by 7 inches tall by 19 inches long, and the Large T3 (C3) size is approximately 8 inches wide by 11 ½ inches tall by 22 ½ inches long. The "T" stands for Traditional and the "C" stands for Contemporary. The dimensions reflect the minimum interior size.

Lockable Mailboxes
A locking curbside mail box will help to deter most thieves from stealing your mail. Many residential mailboxes are available with a built-in locking mechanism. If your mailbox is not equipped with a lock, you can purchase one from several online sources. Locks are essential for deterring thieves and are extremely important when the homeowner is away for several days and unable to retrieve the mail. Also note that the U.S. Postal Service will not open locked boxes nor will they accept a key for that purpose. Locks can be installed on both post and wall mounted mailboxes. When installing a lock on an existing mailbox, make sure your mailbox is strong enough to withstand an attack. Lockable mailboxes should be large enough so that if the homeowner is away for several days, it can accommodate the overflow of mail.

Novelty Mailboxes
Novelty mailboxes are mailboxes that have been dressed up or decorated in some fashion. The same rules and regulations apply to novelty mailboxes as do pre-approved and custom-built mailboxes.

Where to Place A Residential Curbside Mailbox
All curbside mailboxes must be placed in a safe and convenient place. The box must be on the right-hand side of the road in the direction of travel of the mail carrier's normal route. The box should not be placed where it places the mail carrier in a dangerous situation or drive on the incorrect side of the road or violate any traffic laws.

The curbside mailbox post should be positioned 6-8 inches from the curb and approximately 42-46 inches high measured from the lawn to the top of the installed curbside mailbox, not the top of the post. If the post has a vertical arm, the arm should not extend any closer than 6 inches from the curb. When installing your new set, make sure your set complies with these regulations.

Wall Mount Mailboxes
The USPS does not have rules or regulations for wall mount mailboxes, however, you should notify your local mail carrier before installation to ensure proper placement of the mailbox and check for any local codes or regulations governing placement of the mailbox. The product should operate easily and nothing should obstruct the opening and closing of the lid. Also check with your home owners association to see if they have any rules or requirements which you need to comply with.

Building Your Own Mailbox
All custom built curbside mailboxes must meet the same standards as approved mailboxes. Custom built mailboxes should have a flag on the outside, strength, durability and quality should be comparable to approved mailboxes.

Be cautious when building your own mailbox and post. Approximately 100 motorists are killed yearly in collisions with curbside mailboxes. Some posts are mounted in concrete or constructed of indestructible materials. In a collision, a motor vehicle can be severely damaged and its occupants injured or killed.

Mailbox Post
Mailbox posts should be neat and made of material that can adequately support the mailbox. The mailbox post may not represent effigies or caricatures that can disparage or ridicule anyone. The mailbox can be attached to a fixed or movable arm.

Free Arrest Warrant Search - Have I Got Active Arrest Warrants?

Do you think that you might have an arrest warrant?

Are you looking for a free arrest warrant search because you think that there might be an active arrest warrant issued for you? Do you think that you have done something wrong or are you worried that you might have a warrant through no fault of your own?

If you know that you've committed a crime then you know that there is a good chance that a warrant has been issued on you. If this is the case then your best course of action is to get a lawyer and hand yourself in. If you don't then you are going to have to live the life of an outlaw.

Free Arrest Warrant Search - Have I Got Active Arrest Warrants?

You might have a warrant for silly reasons, like forgetting to turn up in court or failing to pay a fine for something. If this happens then you most likely have collected a Bench Warrant. It's the same as an arrest warrant as far as you are concerned, it will get you arrested just the same.

You can end up with a warrant even when you haven't done anything wrong. The police only have to think that you are involved in a crime and they can get a warrant for you. Someone might even be impersonating you when they committed the crime and the police have details of your identity instead of the criminals.

Do nothing and get a free arrest warrant search

You could just ignore the fact that you might have an arrest warrant. Sooner or later you will get stopped for some minor traffic offence or routine inspection. When this happens the police will reward you by doing a free warrant search for you. If they find that you have a warrant they will most likely arrest you right there.

You don't have to wait to be stopped by the police. You could just go to them and ask if you have any warrants. They will do a warrant search for free but again, they are likely to arrest you if the search finds an active warrant.

Free warrant searches at the courthouse

Do you know which county your warrants were issued in? You should know this if you forgot to turn up in court for instance. If so then you can go to the county courthouse and ask. This should be free in most cases and it won't get you arrested unless the warrant is for something very serious. You have to go to the right courthouse for this to work though. They will probably not be able to search other county records for you.

If you aren't sure which county the warrant is in then you could try state records. Most counties feed their records up to the state but the process can be slow and sometimes not very reliable. To be on the safe side you should check warrant records at the county and state level.

Search for free arrest warrants in public records

Arrest warrants are public records and there are some web sites that are making it their business to collect all publicly available records from across the nation into a huge database. They then organize the data and make it all available to you for easy searching nationwide.

These public records web sites are very effective at finding information about people fast and it's not just arrest warrants either. You can search for criminal records and all sorts of background information. You can also do the search on anyone you want to, not just yourself.

Depending on which public records web site you use, you can either pay a small fee for each search that you do or, you can pay a small monthly subscription and do as many free arrest warrant searches as you want to. You can search nationwide and background check practically anyone.

What's the Difference Between DS3 and T3 Bandwidth?

Don't be confused about the difference between DS3 and T3 circuits. These terms are really synonymous. Instead you should focus on what they can do for you...and the best scenarios for application.

Digital Signal (DS) is a system of classifying digital circuits according to the rate and format of the signal (DS) and the equipment providing the signals (T). DS and T designations have come to be used synonymously so that DS1 implies T1, and DS3 implies T3.

A DS3 line (also known as a T-3) is an ultra high-speed connection capable of transmitting data at rates up to 45 Mbps. A DS3 line is equal to approximately 672 regular voice-grade telephone lines, which is fast enough to transmit full-motion, real-time video, and very large databases over a busy network. A DS3 line is typically installed as a major networking artery for large corporations and universities with high-volume network traffic. Other example applications include large call centers, enterprise wide VoIP and IP PBX systems, Internet service providers, research labs, video conference centers and software development companies. A DS3 is the second fastest, non optical connection offered in North America. A DS3 line is comprised of 28 T1 lines, each operating at total signaling rate of 1.544 Mbps.

What's the Difference Between DS3 and T3 Bandwidth?

DS3 circuits provide businesses and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with up to 45 Mb/s of dedicated Internet connectivity. This is an ideal solution for users who have outgrown their T1 connections and are in search of unlimited, high-capacity access. A DS3 line actually consists of 672 individual channels, each of which supports 64 Kb/s. DS3 lines are extremely high bandwidth connections into a carrier's backbone. They typically include SLAs (Service Level Agreements) that guarantee uptime and performance.

The DS3 signal itself is composed of 28 DS1 signals and is constructed using a two-step multiplexing process. First, the 28 DS1 signals are multiplexed into seven DS2 signals. Second, the seven DS2 signals are multiplexed into one DS3 signal. Each multiplexing step uses bit stuffing to handle the different input frequencies. Overhead bits provide alignment, error checking, in-band communications, and bit stuffing control information.

Line rate: 44,736,000 b/s
Signals: 7 DS2 signals = 28 DS1 signals

Overhead bits:
56 bits total/frame
F-bits (framing) 28 bits/
M-bits (multiframing) 3 bits/
C-bits (stuffing) 21 bits
X-bits (message) 2 bits/
P-bits (parity) 2 bits/
Data bits between overhead bits 84

A DS3 connection is comprised up of two monthly charges: the local loop and the port charge. The local loop charge is the cost of the circuit provided by the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) that allows DS3 access into the carrier's network. The loop charge is based on the distance from the customer's location to the edge of the carrier's network; the farther the customer is from the network, the more the loop will cost. Nearly every carrier prices loops differently so it is in your best interest to price DS3 service with several providers to ensure that you get the best deal.

DS Internet Access is the ideal solution for businesses that require high-bandwidth access at a reduced price. Whether you host high-traffic Web sites, support Web hosting or need high-capacity bandwidth on an as-needed basis, there's a level of DS3 service (Full or fractional) that will meet your needs. Fractional to full DS3 or T3 circuits run from speeds of 3 Mbps up to 45 Mbps.

For customers that require more bandwidth than a T1 line can provide but do not yet require the capacity of a full DS3 line, a fractional DS3 connection is the ideal solution. A fractional DS3 is similar to a full DS(T)3, only with some of the channels turned off. This reduces the total monthly cost and provides additional capacity that can be turned up in a matter of days. Unfortunately, the DS3 (T) loop is still required for this service.

If a full DS3 line is more bandwidth that you really need, it is also possible to get Fractional DS3, which gives you a portion of full DS3 bandwidth at a lower cost. Of course, DS3 is also available in multiples to increase bandwidth, similar to bonded T1 service.

DS3 service can be deployed for a wide verity of applications. The most common uses are DS3 point-to-point, DS3 internet, DS3 frame relay, DS3 voice and DS3 VPN. The pricing for these connections varies widely depending on the carrier, location of service and the application for which the connection is being used. Visit DS3 Bandwidth Solutions to obtain current "real time" rate quotes for your location.

16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

You've got your blog set up and you've started posting pithy, useful information that your niche market would benefit from and enjoy. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.

1. Set up an email subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.

16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine.

3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don't write things like "nice blog" or "great post." Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.

4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.

5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines.

6. Submit your blog to blog directories.

Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.

7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.

8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.

9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.

11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.

12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to. The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.

13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.

15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).

16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.

Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit.
