Facebook - a popular name among those who are so into it. Individuals who have an account in Facebook are now using more of their time to socialize with other people amidst the distance and lack of time. And even if a community like Facebook serves numerous advantages, it also proves to have certain disadvantages as well. There are now series of improvements in the system just to make up with the shortcomings. Arguments regarding the different advantages and disadvantages of Facebook are stated below.

Advantages
· Allows user search for new and old friends
· Accessible to chosen universities having a high level of security
· Makes it less awkward when communicating with strangers or people you are not familiar with
· Love attraction - can be used as a dating service system
· Makes it easier to join groups having similar likes and dislikes
· Allows members to check students who are taking the same class, living within the same area, or coming from the same academy

Disadvantages
· Overcrowding
· Weakening long distance relationship
· Unsupported by physical adjacency
· Contributes wide-range procrastination
· Rampant addiction
· Stalking is possible
· Acquaintances be labeled as friends

Facebook Advantage and Disadvantages

Surely, the disadvantages don't pose a threat to you just by merely looking at it. Someone else has to prove that what users do with their profile is directly in proportion with what can happen to them. A user must understand what he is trying to give out otherwise things might get messy and people will mistook them as someone else.

It is quite obvious that a trade off is happening between the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. While it increases the communication and connection between friends and the online community it also increases the risk of procrastination and makes it easier for others to stalk a user. Worse, some are actually punished for what they put on their profile and would claim that it was there only for fun.

Despite the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of an online networking service, it still is gaining demand and popularity among the young crowd. There are about 10,000 students (professionals and young professionals not yet included) who are joining into Facebook every day. This is regardless of the age, race and country. Some are now trying to criticize the status of professionalism of this site whether it's just another fad like other online networking services are.

Compare Garmin Car GPS Vs Tom Tom

Is the Garmin car GPS the best model to buy? Or should you go with Tom Tom? Opinion seems divided between the two makers, even though Garmin out sells Tom Tom over 2 to 1.

To help you decide between the two, I'm going to compare the Garmin car GPS with Tom Tom. Hopefully, this will give you a little help on deciding which company and which of their models is right for you.

Garmin Car GPS

Garmin sells 50% of the GPS devices sold in the United States. (To be fair, in Europe Tom Tom is the industry leader.)

There's a reason for Garmin's dominance of the U. S. market. They simply have more models to choose from at more price points.

I'm not going to discuss every single Garmin model in this article. But I will mention a few that I like at various prices.

In the entry-level market, you have the Garmin nuvi 200 and the nuvi 350. The nuvi 200 is a true entry-level device. It can do everything a GPS is supposed to (tell you where you are and show you how to get to where you're going), but it doesn't have many features beyond that.

The nuvi 200 currently runs about 0.

The nuvi 350, on the other hand, has a few great features like maps of the whole United States and Canada. It also can receive traffic and weather alerts (with subscription). At only 0, that's a lot of GPS for the money!

In the middle of the market, Garmin has the incredible nuvi 760, which sells for just under 0. The 760 has a wider screen than either the nuvi 200 or the nuvi 350. It also has Bluetooth capability, traffic and weather alerts, and it can route it's sound through your car's stereo system. It also does multiple point routing, which means you can enter more than one destination in at a time.

Consumer Reports called the nuvi 760 the best overall GPS on the market, recently. I happen to agree.

At the high end of the market, there's the nuvi 880. It can do everything the nuvi 760 can and also has several impressive cutting-edge features that no one else has. The nuvi 880 will set you back a cool 0, but if you're looking for state-of-the-art, look no further!

Tom Tom

Tom Tom doesn't really compete with Garmin at the high end of the market. Actually, no one does.

Where Tom Tom is most competitive is the low end.

Their Tom Tom One, 3rd Edition can do much more than the nuvi 200, but sells for essentially the same! If I were going to buy and entry-level unit, I would probably spring for the One, 3rd Edition.

In the middle of the market there's the Tom Tom GO 920T, which sells for about the same as the nuvi 760 (0). The GO 920T has Bluetooth and the wider screen. It also has Tom Tom's own Map Share technology, which let's users actually correct Tom Tom's map database.

Personally, I would go with the Garmin nuvi 760, if I wanted a middle range product.

So, my comparison ends up like this: Tom Tom One, 3rd Edition for 0, the Garmin nuvi 760 for around 0, and the Garmin nuvi 880 for 0.

There's certainly more to know about GPS devices than just this. For one, there's the company Magellan and their fine products.

But this at least will give you a start.

What you need to do now is get on an informative website where you can browse individual models and check out current prices.

Fun Basketball Drills For Kids

I was thinking of ways to really get my team of elementary kids to really start enjoying themselves in practice and so I came up with some fun basketball drills for kids. I stopped to ask myself, OK you're a kid, what do you want out of life? #1 I want to have a good time. The way they work is by playing. #2 I want to learn something. I think this is the key to getting good results, combining the two. Lets face it we aren't going to get results if we just drive them into the ground, this goes for all ages, but especially for kids. So here's what I did. I came up with a list of things needed to combine fun with regular fundamental drills. I use these at the beginning of the season and then pull them out in the middle when I need to switch things up a little.

#1 Competition

Divide the teams up and make them compete against each other in the drills. Don't just scrimmage them, get them working together in team skills competitions. Make the losing group run two extra conditioning drills at the end of practice.

Fun Basketball Drills For Kids

#2 Two Step Pass

Have one team on the left side or the court, one team on the right. In groups of two players per team, have them advance the ball down the court by passing the ball to each other. The catch is that they can take no more than 2 steps at a time. Count out loud, advance the ball, take two steps, catch the ball, repeat. Winner is the team who gets their entire line across the gym first.

#3 The Path

Have the team line up in a winding pattern across the gym, each player with a ball. The end of the path, will as quickly as possible, works his way through down the path dribbling the ball low with his head up watching where he is going. Once the player gets to the end of the path, the new end of the path will do the same. This continues until you have worked your way through the team. This is a great drill to get a feel for what its like to maneuver through traffic.

#4 Pin Ball

This is a great drill to teach movement off the ball. Pin 3 wooden clothes pins on the back of each jersey. Say go and in a confined area, the players must grab as many other players clothes pins within a minute. The winner is the player who has grabbed the most pins.

#5 Scramble

On command, everyone drops ball and runs to half court or bleachers, etc. and returns. While the players are running, coach removes one ball. Player without ball is out. With fewer players, start to reduce area. Think of this as musical chairs but on the court.

#6 Get the Players Input

One of the best ways to get kids involved is to let them develop a game out of a drill you want them to preform. no matter how ridiculous it seems, let them explain and run the game. This not only promotes team unity and helps work on fundamentals through the drill, it promotes leadership among the students and promotes creativity, two things needed to win most basketball games.

#7 Redlight-Greenlight

This is a well known drill that everyone mentions, so let me be no exception. It works! This fun basketball drill improves your reflexes. Put a group of kids at the baseline but don't put them too closely together. Maybe 5 or 6 per cycle will be enough.

Every kid has a ball to dribble. When your say "green light" the kids will dribble forward. If you say "blue light" they'll go left. If you say "yellow light" they go right and red is to stop. This is to develop speed, reflexes and dribbling. First one across the line wins.

#8 Clap Pass

This one is a blast. First you get all the players circled around you. Then you pass the ball to random players in the group. The player must clap before they catch the ball. They sit out if:

.They don't catch the ball
.They don't clap
.They clap when you fake a pass to them

Use these all you want. Claim them as your own, copy them if you want, whatever. They're for all to try out. Know this however, you can't get the kids to a place of excellence with just these, you need a little more. That's where my link takes you. Going to Court For a Speeding Ticket - What Actions Should You Take?

Maybe it's your first time, maybe it's your nth time - but just the same, a speeding ticket is a bitter pill to swallow. If you're a few notches over the legal speed limit and you feel like you were not the only one at it but you have a ticket - that would be bitterer. Your first impulse is to sign a check to pay the fine, but don't do that yet. Ask for a trial so you can defend yourself. This will give you a better part of the deal since you have a chance to have that ticket dismissed. If you are going to court for a speeding ticket, here are things you should keep in mind.

There are four pleas you can use in a trial court when you have a road traffic-related citation: guilty, guilty with explanation, nolo contendere, and not guilty.

Guilty is as good as paying the fine, letting the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) put negative points on your license, and paying at least 50% more on your insurance premiums for the next three years. That is just like committing suicide.

Guilty with Explanation is if you have one really, really valid reason to be speeding. Nolo Contendere is Latin term for "no contest". It's simply being guilty but not saying it and just willing to pay the fine and suffer the financial consequences.

Not Guilty is the one to aim for here. This is the plea of the 2.5% who saw time in court and got dismissed. Another 2.5% got really unlucky but they got lower sanctions. The 95% majority are the lazy ones who would just issue the check and wait for the consequences.

Do you need a lawyer for this?

In the traffic court, you can defend yourself so you really have no need for a traffic lawyer unless your violations involve any of the following:

- Driving while Intoxicated (DWI)

- Driving under the Influence (DUI)

- Hit & run accident

- Grave felonies like drug or weapons possession, manslaughter, robbery, etc.)

If you do not fall under any of the mentioned violations or crimes, you don't have to spend to 0 for legal services. Although there are real advantages to hiring one since most of the time they can have the tickets dismissed easily. You don't even have to be present during hearing.

Now that you're going to court for a speeding ticket, you should know how to follow the rules. Depending on which state, many trial courts will weird you out with some of their senseless rules and regulations. Just be nice to the clerks all the time because they can assist you with the process. They can also help you reschedule the schedule if needed.

Dress nicely as if you're going to a job interview. Create a very good first impression with the way you look. This will have a bearing on the judge since you disay respect for the court.

Be extra prepared with your defense strategies. Bring all the necessary information that can strengthen your case of not guilty. You should have made a thorough research before you appeared in court and you should really be armed with all the necessary rebuttals.

If you are going to court for a speeding ticket, remember all these but you should also know that if the police officer who wrote the ticket is absent - your case totally gets dismissed instantly. Now, that would really be awesome!

In South Africa outstanding traffic fines have become a major issue, the police are arresting people in random roadblocks all over the country. The Metro police are out to cash in on the speeding fines as it is easy and a good revenue of income from the public.

One problem, what if the traffic fine issued is invalid? Irrespective if you are guilty or innocent of the traffic offence, the police need to act according to the South African law when issuing fines. Recently in the news media and in the news papers, the abuse of power has been highlighted. Mnet's Carte' Blanche and SABC3 Special Assignment have done cover stories on this very debacle. How valid are your outstanding traffic fines? Clearly this is all about making money by any means.

Making sure the fine is posted to you within the 30 days from offence date Checking that the fines don't have irregularities before sending them Ignoring procedures (law) setout by the Director of public prosecution when speed trapping. Using faulty or un-calibrated speed measuring equipment Using equipment with out training or knowledge, which is against the law Speed trapping in areas or zones with out the prosecutions authority Tampering with photographic evidence to make you look guilty Disobeying prosecutions guidelines for setting up speed traps. Not keeping or logging information required for prosecution when issuing fines. Arresting people on invalid and illegal summonses served
Before you pay for your Outstanding Traffic Fine..
These are just some of the hundreds of issues the public needs to be aware about. Before paying for your outstanding traffic fines which could be invalid, did you know that irregularities like the above would never make it to court as they are inadmissible and illegal to use.

It is reported that around 80% -90% of traffic fines issued in South Africa when speed measuring devices are used have some form of irregularities found on them. This is a shocking statistic.
